Biography
Diane McDonald, MD
Pediatric Emergency Medine Specialist
Dr. Diane McDonald is a board-certified pediatric emergency medicine specialist and provides care at Nicklaus Children’s Urgent Care Centers. She earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. McDonald completed a residency in pediatrics at Drexel University College of Medicine/St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then pursued a fellowship in emergency medicine at Johns Hopkins University/Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Her clinical interests include pediatric office emergency preparedness and firearm safety,
Dr. McDonald is board certified in both general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine and has more than 30 years of experience, including 30 years as an emergency room physician. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has presented at medical conferences.
Dr. McDonald is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
