Nicklaus Children’s Hospital’s Radio Lollipop Hosts 11th Annual "IMPROV Comedy Night"

April 12, 2018 – Radio Lollipop, Nicklaus Children's Hospital’s in-house radio station, will host a night of fun and laughter at its annual ‘IMPROV Comedy Night’ fundraiser. Proceeds to benefit Radio Lollipop program for hospitalized patients at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
 

Nicklaus Children's Opens Pediatric Urgent Care Facility in Hialeah

March 26, 2018 – Nicklaus Children's Health System has opened its newest pediatric urgent care facility, the Nicklaus Children's Hialeah Outpatient Center in the city of Hialeah.  The center, located at 990 W 49^th Street, offers walk-in pediatric urgent care services from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily for infants, children, teens and young adults through age 21.

Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Care Center Receives NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home Recognition

The Pediatric Care Center at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital has been awarded recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Patient-Centered Medical Home Program. The Pediatric Care Center provides outpatient pediatric services for more than 4,000 children annually, including many with special medical needs.

January 16, 2018 – Mr. Jaret Davis , Co-Managing Shareholder of the Miami office of the international law firm of Greenberg Traurig P.A., has been elected 2018 chair of the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital board of directors. The 19-member panel oversees the operations of the 289-bed nonprofit pediatric subspecialty hospital and its network of outpatient centers extending from southern Miami-Dade to Palm Beach County.

October 24, 2017 – Miami Children’s Health System will undergo a name change to align the health system with the branding and identity of its flagship, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Patients Medically Evacuated from Puerto Rico to Nicklaus Children's Hospital After Hurricane Maria

October 02, 2017 – A week after Hurricane Maria devastated the Island of Puerto Rico as a category five storm, three patients awaiting complex heart surgeries were evacuated for medical reasons from University Children's Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Nicklaus Children’s for critical care.
